Nija Higgins is a North Texas funeral director, entrepreneur, and music artist known for her leadership, compassion, and creative excellence. With over 25 years in education, she has served as an assistant principal and holds both Principal and Superintendent certifications, reflecting her strong foundation in leadership and administration.

 

 She is the owner of Higgins House of Rest, where she is committed to providing personalized, dignified funeral services that honor every life with care and intention. Nija also serves as Vice President of the Fort Worth–Tarrant County Funeral Directors Association, where she plays an active role in advancing the profession and strengthening community engagement.

 

 In addition to her work in funeral service, Nija is a recording artist known as Nija Blu. She has two hit songs currently playing on the radio, with three of her songs being featured today. She also wrote the theme song for New Mount Rose Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Kyev Tatum, further showcasing her ability to blend faith, creativity, and storytelling.
