Cheryl Thaxton, Ph.D., DNP, APRN, CPNP, FNP-BC, CHPPN, FPCN, FAANP, FAAN
Dr. Cheryl Thaxton has been in the field of nursing for over 34 years. She is an educator and nurse practitioner who specializes in palliative and hospice care, helping patients and families navigate serious illness with comfort and dignity. She has also developed and taught curriculum aligned with grief, loss, and bereavement. She has been involved in interprofessional work and national pediatric palliative care work. In addition, Dr. Thaxton has presented topics related to grief and loss at Christian Women’s conferences, sharing practical and encouraging messages about faith, resilience, and emotional well-being. She is passionate about mentoring others and helping build strong, supportive healthcare education programs.
